overview

Corporate Taxation in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) is currently undergoing a rapid change. While initially CEE had flat tax regimes to attract inward investment, recent tax policy developments in the region reflect global trends in international taxation.

With a view to increase Tax revenue, authorities in the region are increasing scrutiny of tax planning structures and Transfer pricing by multinational enterprises. This has resulted in intensification of Tax Audits, New Transfer Pricing Rules, Penalties and increasing Tax disputes.

Central & Eastern Europe provide a wide range of Taxation challenges. Tax professionals have to deal with a wave of new measures including new documentation requirements, Audits by Tax authorities and new Tax and Transfer Pricing related legislation. Achieving Tax compliance and minimising Tax Risks and Disputes are some of the key challenges facing Tax executives in the region.
